I live near Shiatown just upriver from the dam. We see bald eagles most every year. I think they do alot of hunting near the river and especially the basin behind the dam. Haven't seen any nests around though.

I heard Shiawassee Co. had several bald eagles. Next time I'm out toward Shiatown dam I'll have to watch for them. Thanks for the tip!

You know anything about the Shia Swap Meet this Saturday? We're planning on going to Imlay City, but may stop in at Corunna if its worth it.

Well, based on the one I went to there in the fall, it seems to get going around eight in the morning. It's not a huge event but there was a real nice selection of chickens and other poultry there. Ducks and turkeys and pigs and puppies. It got a bit busier later in the morning when more people started showing up.

Hi everyone!
I finally have a computer! I bought a different one (used) Mine has a virus and is being fixed. Hopefully I didn't lose the hard drive, I can't remember the last time I backed up my pictures and stuff. I can't believe how much I missed being online. Hopefully everyone is doing well. I will try to go back and read what I missed. Great to be back!

Thank you so much MJ the new ducklings are wonderful. I also had the lovely surprise of a new chick too!

Any idea on the breed of the chick? I'm thinking barred rock but it has feather feet so I don't know.

Good Evening all fellow Michiganders!
Question here regarding loose stools - I've got a couple of hens that have fecal matter collected on their feathers on their backsides - we just spent some time cleaning them up and clipping a few feathers here and there - my gals free range other than that they feed on pellets and a treat block which I picked up at the feed store - and of course all of the treats that we give them - strawberry tops, bananna, celery of late - is this something that we should be concerned about? My gals seem to have loose stools every now and then - keep in mind that I'm with them every day and notice everything!
Appreciate any input - we do keep their water clean as well as their feed dishes. Thanks - Nancy

I have 2 3-week old blue bantam cochin cockerels someone can have for the asking. At a really homely stage right now, too! We will be going to Imlay City, I can bring them along.
