I would say roo, but not certain. Could you post pics. of the others as well and their age? You may have said already, but I don't recall.

Kodi is a very good looking boy!! Thanks for sharing. Here are a few more of Sasha. She unfortunately kills anything that moves...

For anyone that knows us : That is Raigan in the swing in the last picture. Where does time go?

Will try to get photos of the other 2 "aracanas" taken and posted later.
I don't trust Kodi either, he won't chase the wild turkey's that we get but he licks his chops whenever he sees the baby chicks.

Thank you Crystal. Unfortunately the eggs didn't make it. When I went to town, DD made the decision to crack an egg. Both were dead. Both were fully formed - black with white spots. One did have a greenish slime in the shell. I don't know when they died cuz when I candled them last week, they both were moving. Very sad. So of the 8 eggs I started with, none hatched. She made the choice because one of the shells was turning black. We will be trying again.

Good afternoon all!!

Keleka -- cute pics!

Chickenpal -- Glad to hear you had a nice time at the Maple Syrup Festival. We didn't make it there. We were going to go Saturday afternoon, but the thunderstorms rolled in. Oh well, maybe next year.

Here is a photo showing all three "auracana pullets" that I got. They are about 7 weeks old. By the way, we also had a dog named Sasha, but I called her Sassy because she was. She was a sheltie mix.

They are going to be beautiful hillbilly

KELEKA! those pics are a scream! what memories you both will have. Hannah and Rick have some of the most wonderful pics from Daddy/Daughter dances. and now here she is 15 and those days are ending. bittersweet to see them grow up.

what a beautiful day today! it was duck-a-mania out on the lawn today. we let everyone out the lawns to eat fresh green grass and run about.

the goslings and ducklings had a fun romp too, following us everywhere we went.

MJ-I sent you pictures of the coop I bought from you, all hooked up to the run. I love it! I only stained the front so that we could attach it before it rains again. All I had on hand was deck stain... so not as pretty as it could be... but I love it

Thanks everyone for your well wishes, I'm actually doing much better than Granny and Hope, but they are doing better.

It's been a year since I last had chicks, but I don't remember last years getting their wing feathers as quickly as these Vorwerks have. I only lost the one chick the first day and the others are doing great. It's going to be interesting watching them change from a dark colored chick with a light colored head into a gold colored body with a black head and tail.
