Hey everyone!

Its been a while since I've been on. We had a garage sale and all the kids and critters are keeping us busy! Big Russ agreed to a pool so hopefully we can find one soon. Hope everyone is having a great summer. We went strawberry picking this morning, we have 41 pints of jam now! And enough leftovers for our ice cream! I love summer!

It's been busy around here. So excited - I found an cooperative organic/bulk grocer just in Mt. Pleasant (only 20 minutes away). I never knew it existed. Excited to check it out!

good night it was muggy and hot! at one point, i came in from gathering eggs and seriously was so hot, i thought i was going to fall flat on my face in the yard.
called to my kids and had them get me a huge water. laid down in my bed holding the water....woke up holding said water. put water on bedside table. fell back asleep. woke up HOURS later. slept a total of like four hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! the heat just zapped me.

then we had some lovely quiche and salad for supper. now, more sleep.

nighty night, chickflick! oh, your mom isn't here i think. i mean, not that i know of anyway.

It sure looks like it will be a hot and humid day. Two of my sons lived in New Orleans for a few years. Made the mistake of going there one year in August. Don't know how they deal with that heat and humidity; yesterday was starting to feel like that. Tomorrow we're supposed to hit 90's.

Good morning everyone! I woke up my chickens this morning when I went to fill the waterers for the day. Chores are just about done. Now I have to decide if I will be dunking the kids in the lake or the river today. I love summer.

Good morning Everyone.

going to be weeding the garden today, they are starting to take over.

I'm off work for the next 2 weeks, lots of house cleaning, going to clean out the basement, my closet, you know all the fun stuff

going to Chucks sisters, in Washington Twp for a couple days with the kids, they just had a built in pool put in.

we just have one of those little pop up ones for the kids, it about a 3', but they have fun

I cant believe were already in the last week of June,

my tomato's, cucumber, yellow squash have bloomes on them,
potato and onions are growing good, never tried Onions so will see how they do.

Need to feed vegs today today,

Boy those meat birds were hot yesterday they were all panting, the only time they really get sun is morning and early afternoon, gave them some watermelon, hoping that would help, and its going to be hotter today. and they dont go in until next Friday for processing, hopefully all the fat little buggers make it tell them.

It's hot down here in Nashville, boy howdy! There were tremendous thunderstorms last night, but we're staying at the Opryland Resort, everything is inside so no worries here. Is anyone here a Montgomery Gentry fan? They're being inducted into the G.O.Opry tonight. I hope everyone has a cooler day today - I personally LOVE hot weather - the steamier the better. Must be my Mississippi blood!
