Nothing in the trap this morning. I need to replace the bait.
Yeah, Copper didn't like his bath either. As long as it is warm enough and he smells that bad he get washed up with the hose. He is used to warm water in the shower.

HI all
just sharing my information with all.
Dumors chicken feed contains dead chicken feathers in it for animal protein source. Also feed plant in Ohio also use something from pigs.I think she said pig fat for energy source.I will double check with the representative when she will respond to me tomorrow.Only product of Dumor- 16% layer crumble doesnt state that it has animal protein, so Dumors representative will check why it doesnt mention animal proteins in it.If its missing from tag or they really dont put these things in this product only.
KENT feed also contains pork fat as an energy source in broiler feeds and High Flyer products.
Does anyone know any place in Michigan close to metro detroit area where I can find reliable organic feed, so I dont have to worry about what I am feeding my chickens.

Chickens AREN'T vegetarians. They are omnivores and require animal protein to be healthy. Many feeds use chicken byproducts as a source of animal protein and it is a perfectly acceptable additive and it also makes ecological sense. Also using feathers adds both protein and nutrients.

that is why the bag smells like pork fat. get your nose in there. you should smell the poop from meaties on that stuff! oh my gosh! it's horrific.

there are only two dealers in michigan who sell organic feed.
both are very expensive. and if they cannot get all of the parts organically, you can end up with 10% feed or whatever they can get.

if you want to get feed for a good price and know exactly what's in it, that i can help you with. pm'ing you. ingredients are corn, oats, soy and wheat. grown and ground local.
