Good afternoon everyone, rainy day, good day to get on the couch and watch moves all day,
Paid Lauren my DD, the clean the chinchilla cages, she wants a guitar, so i told her I would chip in 15.00, just very lazy today.
now i have to go clean the duck coop.
i have 10 ducks out there. tomorrow I'm going to go see Sam to Barrow his incubator, I was hoping that one of the duck girls would go broody,

Rhandi that grinder is good for nuts to if your make a nut roll, we got one for my grandma about 3 years back, she always kneaded by hand, it took a while to get use to the kneading attachment,. oh and fluffy up egg white works great...


I went to Tractor Supply today to get bedding its on sale. and i seen a sign, As of Oct 5 the will be caring Purina, for chickens, horses, pigs, sheep, rabbits i think there was a couple other animals.

picked up hand sanitizer today, for the kids to take school. there say not to shack and ones hand, and to Lysol your house every other day, door knobs phones, and so on.

Good afternoon!

Picked 5 grocery sacks of grapes. Pretty much through one bag and I have 20 quarts of juice!!!! Neat way to do it. In a quart jar, add: 1 cup washed grapes, 1/2 cup sugar, and fill with boiling water. Process for 15 minutes. Too easy!

Rachel has one of Sam's blue Orpington chicks hatched, another is close to being done.

sounds like like you two are having good days!

Rick and i went to TSC and then i came home and slept the afternoon away. still tired from that flu. man, i was out like a light! just woke up and was in a fog. like zombie girl!

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. I ended up taking them out anyway. We went to the tack store first -- because that ALWAYS makes me feel better, no matter the ailment

-- and then to the orchard.

All in all a fun day and I'm no worse for the wear.

3 baby chicks hatched so far! another is pipping. 5 blue orpington eggs and 2 lavender ameraucanas eggs.
2 BO and 1 LA have hatched so far!

Good evening everyone. Today was a day for running. My oldest Collin will be turning 10 on Monday. Went to town to find a birthday gift for him. Party will be next weekend with a couple of his friends. End of September birthdays are so nice. He always wants a couple friends to spend the night with a camp fire and hayride.
Bad news on my chicken with the hurt leg. Looked like it was slowly getting better. But she has taken a turn for the worse and I won't let her suffer anymore. We will have to put her down tomorrow. Poor Matilda, she layed an egg everyday too.
