Oh absolutely (though yes, they're also covered it didn't go in through a vent) I didn't mean to imply it would not be an entrance option just that it wasn't an exit option (for the predator with the hen) as that's the part that most surprised me -- not that a predator got IN with the door just cracked, but that it got back out with the hen through the same size opening. Sorry for the confusion.

What material do you use to cover your runs?

A friend gave me the heavy duty cover from one of those temporay garage tents. It gave me enough material to cover the large fowl run 16x16 and two sides.

Opa - Are you building a frame? How will this material work with a "snow load"?.....Sounds like a great idea. My run is 16x24...with an 8x10 area covered with metal roofing..but sure would be nice to cover the rest.

Yes, please, Sarah If you would not mind finding out how much they would sell me and at what price, I would be very greatful! I think my meat processor is using it all for venison processing right now,

The design of my run with 12 rafters will support the snow load. It is the reason that I used it. Last winter the mesh that covers it accumulated over 18" of snow on it.

We harvested our popcorn today!! We have a whole line of it hanging up to dry.

Isn't it cute?!?!?!!

Now I just have to wait for it to dry so I can pop it and eat it!!!

Olive, I think my daughter has one that is young. If not , there is a wonderful woman just north of me in Imlay City that have nice VERY healthy birds. I will contact them both tomorrow and see if either has one that you need.

Where are you located? And what age hen do you seek? I feel so bad for your daughter. Gosh I'm an adult and do not want to ever see what I saw in my coop just over a month ago.

Send me a PM with details..and if this forum gets busy, I might not see it.

Good morning all. I'm just sitting here waiting on daylight and for David to get here so I can decide what I am doing today. I've got to go check out a log home and try to find where water is entering a wall. I once thought that I would like a log home but after working on quite a few I've decided that they are just too much constant maintenance.
