One of my runs is a 10'x10' cyclone fence dog run. Today I just picked up a 2nd one the is in excellent condition. I offered to buy it from a friend and he asked that I repair a lawn ornament and build two boxes for his quail. Now I have to decide if I want to erect the run as a free standing unit or attach it to the existing one. If I go with the existing one I then must decide whether I should use two or four of the new panels. Life decisions sure are tough.

I just looked on the map to see where you are and it is a bit of a drive. You could have them all if I could get them to you. Oh well maybe I will have some luck tomorrow at the animal swap. We used to raise rabbits for meat a long time ago. These little guys are sure keeping our Husky entertained. He is always right by the run where we are keeping them.

My FIL came home today. He will have to have some home health care for a bit but he is feeling better.

Today we also took our dogs to "Doggie Beach" on Lake Michigan. We all had a fun and relaxing day.

Going to Gyer's this morning. Twice now, I have someone wanting to purchase my daughter's black ameraucana rooster. He is the meanest thing. Twice they have changed their minds. This last one was set up to meet my husband in Indiana today. Which he is too busy and cannot and it is too far to drive to MI for the birds....he wanted me to deliver them 3 hours away.

So the mean son of a gun is leaving this morning and we will take the finanical loss....with the financial loss earlier this week, it doesn't matter to me.

Off to load him up

Can anyone give me a hand? Last year I lost 140 birds to a coon. This year I wasnt allowed to get anymore birds. So Im stuck with 7. As you all know 7 is not enough. Then last night a fellow 4-Her lost a very expensive Sumatra and Silver Spangled Hamburg to a coon. Im trying to help us both get back on track to showing our birds again. Im looking for Sumatras, Black Copper Marans, Peonixes and others. Please I want to hear from you guys that have a huge abundance of birds.
Thank You

Back from the auction! Rachel made enough to purchase a bag of feed for the rest of the birds. We got to the auction almost late so the birds were some of the last to be sold.

The rest of the birds are relaxing without the worry of being bullied or mounted. such is the life!

Have been reading along, but haven't posted here recently.
All the chicks are getting bigger and more feathery by the day. The silkies don't look too rough but the brahma and the ee look haggard.
They were pushing around and knocked over their little feeder so not they have a bigger one. Might just give them the bigger waterer soon too.
They've also taken up flapping their wings and chasing each other around in the morning. The partridge silkie is on the bottom of the pecking order for sure, just by the way she acts around the others it's obvious. She does sometimes stand up to the other birds, if only for a moment, and it is kind of funny to watch.

Still waiting to see how many of them take to crowing. BF has a friend with a small farm who is going to take any roosters we have.

Other than that life has been alright.
Saw the dentist about a cavity that needs filling, found out about 3 others that will need work too. Also found out where my lower wisdom teeth went,

right into my other teeth. If they become problematic I'm going to have to have them surgically removed, but for now they aren't doing any harm so they can stay right where they are.
