Made some new friends at chicken check in today...I was told I can take any eggs from the Black Copper Marans that this ladie has and I hope she doesnt want their eggs all week

I also found a guy with some mottled Japs and there was a roo for sale for a measly price of $0 Im talking about taking him tomarrow. Cant wait fair is off to a bang

Good Morning!

We had fun this weekend. Busy and now I am still tired

My exersice partner and I started a new exersice program this morning. It is called the P90X. In 90 days we should have a new and improved body! Hopefully it isn't a joke!

This morning's tape was tough, a few moves we couldn't do at all. I will see if I can walk or if I will need a cane

Good Afternoon,
I have a request for all you in Michigan... Just to put the word out, I am looking for a donkey

I am just keeping my eye out for one, would like to get a nice/gentle one. If it's a rescue that is great and if not that is ok to! I don't want to pay a huge fortune for one, would really just like to give one a good home. With winter coming I am guessing there will be lots of them that will need a good home, so I am willing to wait.

I don't plan to ride it, or use it for anything just one to hang out at my house with the rest of my kids

I hope that it is ok to post this here and that it is not going against any of the rules....

BUT on a side note.... I just found out that my SO just gave 6 of my barred rock chicks away and all the eggs in the coop from the day to a lady who gives us all sorts of zucchini and cucumbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily..... we got 4 to 5 bags worth of stuff!!! with the promise of more to come

Holy Cow...what a day at the fair. Got there a lil after 6 and found a dead Roaster...had to clean that bird up and tell the other 4-Her/Owner about it. I was finally able to take care of my chickens and do all my other fair chores with animals. Later that day i found out I made 4-H King

Tomorrow is 4-H poultry judging at 2 at the Armada Fair grounds. Come on out and take a look. There are about 100 show birds there this year I would have to estimate. I gotta get there early to clip nails and beaks... Now Im studying for the showmanship part because I do not remember any of it.

In our county we have a competition with 15 couples and they have to answer questions, dress the other up with stuff in a paper bag with whatever the theme is, and an obstacle course. When I was in 4-H, I won once. Enjoy your reign this week!

Hi everyone,
I am new to backyard. I have come and looked at posts but never had time to log on.
Now I am here. Hubby is in Indiana and kids are asleep.

. I am in the upper peninsula
of Michigan all the way to the left by lake superior and the porcupine Mountains. No fingers
or mittens for me. It gets pretty cold here.

well welcome to the forum, Have been there but it has been many many years ago that I Back Packed the Mts and don't even rember the last time I went to copper harbor. And yes it does get a bit cold up there. have fun and enjoy.
