glad you have a good memory.
FYI (everyone who knows me now) I have suffered dramatic brain function decline over the last years. I attribute it to a good whack on the head (TBI) back in 1986-ish followed by years of having to use Paxil, both of which my Dr says Nope, shouldn't be the case. But thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Panic attacks, and I have tried to get off the drug, I think it's worse than being on Heroin.

Good Morning all,

I hope you all have a wonderful day. I was stuck at work until 3:00 in the morning, fourteen hour day. We had a dog come in at 10pm,. closing time, that was hit by a car. It took the owners an hour and a half to come up with the money for surgery and then we ended up doing an amputation surgery until 2:30 am. My brain turned to oatmeal somewhere around 1 a.m. and I was numb driving home.

Slept until 8:30- and wow were my ducks and dogs upset and acting like they had almost starved to death. lol.

Its been a very hectic hour and a half, but now everyone is settled down.

My hormonal male duck has been seperated from the flock since I put him in solitary confinement yesterday early afternoon. I opened the gate this a.m. and it took him all of 2 point 2 seconds to attack my goose.

Today I am attending my longest dearest friends sons' graduation. We have known each other since we were four years old, grew up together and had our sons one month apart. Her son is a multi-talented musician with a music scholarship to Wayne State. He has many honors and I am very proud of him. Its bittersweet, because my son should have been graduating this year. I just hope eventually he realizes that he is drifting through life and decides to go back to school or get a job or something.

My husband says we are supposed to get thunderstorms later on today. I sure hope he is wrong. I have the next two days off and would like to spend it in the yard.

How about a 12 yr old boy? (he's already 5'4 and stronger than I was).

my hubby got himself a good sized 2-stage Cub Cadet abt 3 years back , his shoulders are shot from work, he loves it too. I can even run it.
He's had 2 surgeries, one we are fighting in workmans comp and the other he just did on his own, total joint replacement. He's due to get another one on the other are Aug 3rd. Its not the joint tho, it's a torn muscle gotta be reattached. OWWIE for him.

at this point they'd have to redo my entire hip, the knee on the oppisite leg and left shoulder. HMO basically said it's cheaper for them to pump me full of pills, and turn me over to medicare and SSD. From the ribs up i'm fine, and we manage well enough.

Having a cup right now and doing the mornin' reading.

Went to the coop and feed the ducks and ch'd on the chicks. OH MY LORD, I hadn't locked the big iron gate to the chicks area. Big ol Mousse got him self in there and the gate swung shut behind him. He literally tore the 2x4 fencing off the lower part of the gate trying to get out. Thank God the chicks are alright, but he did scare them, they were running around pretty frightened.

I have to find something heavier. It's not to keep the dogs out cause I already know he can shread chain-link, it's to keep the littlier birds in once they're out of the hutch and running on the floor. I don't want them running the whole kennel building, just their 8x16 area which ought to be plenty for 4 chicks.
WOw, right now I'm not sure I want to risk getting any more at chickenstock and adding to my flock. I'm just scared for their safety.

I lived in SW Kansas for 10 years. Loved it but the dry chaff-filled winds gave me severe sinus infections. Stuff was lots cheaper there. It was long enuf ago tho that I don't remember tax prices.
