*sigh* You dont understand. I cannot tell my daughter NO. She is too good. She is my straight-A, superduper helper child who never ever gets in any trouble. She helps me out ten times more than her sister or brother. She does whatever I ask. Never breaks the rules. ....the best 15 year old anyone could ask for...

and she loves those long- ear bunnies. I wont even let her look at your pictures...

she knows how to ask me for stuff. and make me say Yes. She just now managed to get me to pay 16 dollars for a stinkin doggie t-shirt for our little chihuahua that says, "Princess never goes out of style"..I doubt the dog will ever even let us put it on her...

I already am finding myself mentally locating the hay rack and the water bottle...and adding a carrier to my van-full......

I think anyone who has extra xpens would be doing a wonderful thing for our fellow chicken buddies..and the birds will be OH SO much happier...

I think we only had one escapee last year, didnt we? And we caught it pretty fast.

I can bring a big ole net that my husband used to use on the boat....

Oh I will be bringing my giant fishing net for sure! Don't leave home without it!

I also need to stop thinking of those long-eared bunnies!

I can bring an extra pen also, I made 2 of them and they've never been used by any birds yet so clean Clean CLEAN. One is bigger for a breeding pen if I ever got that far and so far I ain't, the other is for one or two birds. I plan on bringong something home but don't know what just yet.

The chickens I'm smoking are 5-6 lb birds. 6 will be cut up and is our contribution to the food table. 2 will be vacuumed sealed and placed on the drawing table. The birds cost me $5-6 each, on top of that there is the cost of the sugar, salt, spices for the brine, the mesh bags and the pecan wood chips for smoking, the vacuum bags for packaging, and lastly the cost of electricity to run the smoker which has 2 heating elements and 2 fans for 12 to 14 hours. It takes about 2 hours to prep the birds for the brine, then about an hour to get them dried and into the smoker. Once there the smoke pan needs to be replinished about every 1 1/2 hours. Finally after 12 to 14 hours of smoke/cooking they have to be cooled and packaged, another 2 hours of time. Needless to say pricing them at $15 is not a money making proposition.

yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. A more-than-fair price for such deliciousness... I will be purchasing one from you...

maybe I will hold on to it until I cant stop thinking of it all over again..then I will share with my hubby so he can see what I am talking about...or maybe...
just maybe.....

I will wait until everyone is gone here, and eat it all myself.

Chickmate, the tethers are made and already in my truck so I don't forget to bring them. They say that memory is one of the first things to go and I can remember that the other things were.
