I could not have done that by myself. I meant to compliment you earlier but my mind is just gone. We had plans to build a smaller hoop run on the back by the brooder area of the coop but instead we are dealing with the tree and electricians, phone people, well people........

::sigh:: We have been living through well heck ourselves... although not in a house we currently live in, so not so much personal annoyance (can't flush the toilet!! Really prefer to have indoor plumbing!) We bought our current house about three years ago, put our old house up for sale, knew the market was bad so were prepared for a long wait to sell. Finally got a solid offer this spring--as long as we did about $20,000 in improvements (long story, buyers have VA loan, VA appraiser is very demanding, but buyers are actually swell people.) The well part actually we can't blame on the appraiser's demands, our old well no longer meets code so had to be replaced for the house to sell to anyone. We had no idea the old well would not pass--the well and septic inspection is only valid for 12 months, so we didn't order it until we finally had a good offer. But including a failed attempt to upgrade the old well, it's costing us over $7000. And the new well has failed 2 tests for bacteria in the water.

Crossed fingers on the third test...

On the bright side, the new well's water seems way better than the old well's--at least as far as taste and mineral/iron content. I don't think the new owners will even need a water softener. Luckily as I said they're wonderful people, so I'm happy for them. Would hate to think we're spending all that money for someone we don't like. Really I supposse that shouldn't matter, as I said we would have had to do the well regardless of any other considerations, but at least I don't resent having to do it somehow.

And of course, if we hadn't moved, I could not have had chickens (legally). Now on 10 acres zoned agricultural, we're safe. (Does not mean we have not had a pesky neighbor expressing concerns anonymously through another neighbor. But that only made me evilly desire much more obnoxious livestock than a few hens. Peacocks! Guinea fowl! Emus! Bison! Yaks! Have not gotten any of these yet, but you never know. And I do foresee the likelihood of roosters...)

I'm noosey and want the details. You can be ordered to cut down a tree? Fill in a pond?
Ordinance violations are mailed and you get a certain amount of time to comply. Chickflick and I when to the township hall to see whats up and then made a deal with the devil(neighbor).
P.S. I would like a bear please. The larger one, 12 oz I believe.

Nothing like being covered in dust, spider webs, scratches and bruises. We've been digging through our other house next door that's been used for storage for several years looking for stuff to sell. One room is full of stuff from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, it's my whole apartment that I lived in before moving here. Plus another room is full of Aric's kids stuff and his grandparents stuff. He pulled out a very nice bow and arrow set and another set of arrows that's never been used, all from the 60's. It was his grandfather's. I caught him cleaning it up and I asked him what he was going to do and I had to stop him. Grrr. He's stubborn!

I had to walk away. I noticed one of the ducklings that hatched last night was covered with sticky egg junk. So I pulled it out and washed it up now it's moving around with the other one. Then while I was doing that, a bunch of chickens got loose so I had to get Aric to help trim wings since I still can't use my left hand too well.

So I am wondering, I have several crocheted things (mostly "cancer caps"...the tight caps that all the young kids usually wear but also a couple of baby blankets are left) that if I come I could bring to sell. Would that be ok? Would anyone be interested?


Now I need a nap
