Thank you Saddina! I'll just keep this little guy instead of selling him in case he ends up not being a NN. I don't want to mislead someone. I'm sorry to hear about your situation

I hope that you will still get the assistance and help that you need.

I knew it was comming before he did, so i'm mostly ok, he's the one suffering right now. I'm just not the person he fell in love with, and I can't go back either. He feels horriably guilty, where i've come to terms with that. Sooner or later he'll find another sweet girl (good fathers who love kids don't stay single long), and whn he does it'll be easier on him if we're already divorced, then if he has to go back and say he changed his mind.

I FOUND IT! It came to me all of the sudden as I was lying next a snoring hubby

It's Hick Dairy Farm in Lapeer off of Fish Lk Road (right by me!) Their Web is http://www.hicksorganicfood.com/index.html

They
have DE (Live Earth) for $36 for a 50 pound bag but they also carry much more. And if you are in the area you can always come by and pick up a NN chick or two or an Blue Wheaton/EE chick

Tee-heee!

Good Morning! Its supposed to be a hot one today. I've got watermelon on standby for the girlies. I rototilled their run yesterday and they woke up to strawberries and apple cores thes morning. I just finished my egg and veggie sausage breakfast and now I must go move sprinklers. I can't wait until we finally get underground sprinking.

Saddina - I am so sorry to hear about your news.

Raz - I am curious about the salamander eggs too....what are you going to do with them??

Stacykins - Woot! Pictures please!

Good morning all,
School is tiring when an entire 16 week semester is condensed into 9 days over 3 weekends, so I slept in quite late (9:30).

The salamander eggs went into my pond along with some aquatic plants that I brought back from Fish Lake and Mussing Pond. Also brought back a monarch caterpillar and some swamp milkweed, Asclepius incarnata. I guess I'm a nature nerd and I'm trying to turn my suburban yard into a native habitat in the city.

I hope the salamanders hatch and find some nice places to live under my wood pile and rocks and avoid the chickens.

Well, I better get back to this homework. Who knew grad school was to tough?

I went swimming in my pond!
It was so gross

..
I hauled the filter out to clean it yet again, and as I was trying to reposition it back into the pond, my foot slipped on the algae-covered liner, and WHOOOOOOOOOOOSH there I went, completely under, flat on my back.

AND- on a sad note, my cat got out five days ago, during a fireworks display in the neighborhood. She is a skittish timid persian- never had a paw outdoors in her life. She loved to sit in the window and dream though. Hides all day, Runs from the other cats, the dogs, my son...only would come be in my face at night. Somehow the screen got knocked in in my daughters room....and that must be how she got out. I figure she jumped up to look out, and overjumped and went out...or she was up there looking out and another cat jumped up there and scared her out.

I cant find her anywhere, and nobody has come across her in their bushes. I think it took me two days to discover that she was gone. It was a moment of "hmm..I havent seen Princess anywhere"..."when did I see her last?" I have put signs up in the neighborhood, and sure do hope someone calls.

I STILL have this friendly toulouse goose who needs a home. Henry has grown/matured enough now to actually chase my daughter in the backyard, and bites the dog, pant legs, etc...I dont want to imagine what next spring will be like with the new goose AND Henry and Penelope.
The new goose who needs a home has adjusted well, and you would never know it was almost dead when I found it. Follows me about the yard, quite friendly.Quieter than the other two, for sure.

Stacykins- super cute!!!

Raz- I finished my grad degree last September. I did the intense route too to get done quicker. That and work was almost the death of me. Lol I feel your pain but its all worth it.
