Good Morning

Thanks hickchick. I checked on all the girls this morning and they all were lively and vibrant. My DH and I think that Mariah (our Brahma) must have been stressed out by the storm and somehow got herself in a position that she couldn't get out of. I have 17 other girls (err maybe girls...one is suspect) to take care of. I just need to love them while they are with us right?

Mom2 - Glad you found your cat! i know you were worried sick about her.

Michiganwrangler - Congrats on your hatch! Woot! That little blue fluffy butt is super cute.

tsparrow - did all your guineas find their way home last night or this morning?

I will be cleaning the coop today when I get off work since the storm did blow water in. Wet pineshavines are

No babigyrl22, still not back. The one that came back is locked up in the coop and calling his little bald head off, so hopefully they hear him and come home. There is 200 acres of corn, so I won't be able to see them, but I have tried looking. There is still hope, look at Mom2. I am glad you found your cat Mom2, I bet that was scary.

Thanks babigyrl22 for asking, I still have hope. I know guieneas wander but I thought they would come back, specially that this is the only home they know. Hopefully they are all together and just being courages. They usually are very talkative and I haven't heard them yet.

Very sorry. So sad.

Thanks SJ. Did you lose power last night in Grand Rapids? Ours didn't come back on until after 10pm. I was sitting on my couch in the dark when I heard cheering from outside from my crazy neighbors.

I believe our hatch is all done. Here are the newest babies

We lost one this morning that didn't hatch out all the way. It's so heartwrenching

Can't seem to get out of the funk or stop thinking about the poor little thing. Maybe if I was home playing with my babies I'd feel better

Good morning all, even though it's going to be a bit on the muggy side today. With the dewpoint at 70 the slightest activity starts my old body to sweating. So I guess that means I need issue a glow alert for all you lovely ladies.

I picked a few raspberries last night at the neighbors and this morning I made 4 1/2 pints of freezer jam. My granddaughter absolutely loves raspberry freezer jam so I always try to make enough that I can take 10 or 12 jars to her. Several years ago they were spending the weekend with some friends in Louisanna. One morning when their host as Morgan how she liked the Mayhaw jelly she replied that it was okay but it sure wasn't as good as Opa's jelly. From the mouths of babes.

I think that it is official. I have gone completely off my rocker. Today Hope isn't available to babysit her 2 year old grandson. I am still in a state of disbelief due to the fact that I heard my mouth saying, "No problem, I'll watch him".

Cute! One day I am going to let my girlies hatch out some chickies.

I know how you feel. I am in a funk myself and I think I could get over it if I were at home spoiling my girls instead of stuck here in the office.
