Good Morning! I need some of that coffee!

So, last night I got my Faverolles. I put them in the quarantine coop, but then the hinge came off. I didn't have anyway to fix it, and I couldn't keep the birds in the cardboard eggbox that they were transported in. SO, they ended up in the new coop already. I know, bad practice. Well, Here's hoping the ivermectin injections prevent problems.

Now, the roo, Mr. Fluffers, is a chicken. Not only litteral, but figurative... He's such a gentle guy, he even is gentle with his chicken porn. But anyway, he kept hiding his head in the corner of the egg box when ever I'd try to pet him. He only came up for air when I took one of his ladies out of the box! But she made such a fuss that he didn't do anything. I guess he figured she had it covered. LOL. He's so sweet and absolutely beautiful! The dominant hen, now she's somethiing. BRAVE is the word. My Rotten Ruby was barking her puggle brains out and Rosie, Rosie walk up to the fence (chainlink) and just grumbled and squawked at her as if to say "OH YAY! BRING IT!" It was so funny. Even Carl (neighbor) was impressed. I think maybe she wears the pants in the trio?

So, now since all the cluckers are living together already, I was kinda nervous there'd be barnyard peck-a-mania, paper-view, but no. Just a few pecks here and there, and then nothing. The little ones went on their way to the front bushes. The silkies, dottes, and Miss Legs, just hung around the outside of the coop for a bit with the Fav Trio trying to decide the way things are.

Mr. Fluffers started to crow at 5:30 this morning... Sign of things to come? It was non stop for about 3 minutes!

BOOOO HOOOOOO......haven't been able to find my Buff Chantecler roosters a home here on BYC so finally posted a free ad on BESTFARMBUYS.com

Stacykins, I am wondering if you'd ever given these chickens any antibiotics?? any other shots? I just want to be able to tell new owners if they ask. Honesty is the best policy and I haven't even thought to ask till now. I haven't given them anything since they been here, except a good loving home, free-range lifestyle, and hopefully a good life. I DO love them, but since discovering I have a 3rd roo in the bunch they will just be too much and I don't want fighting and wounds developing. I may keep ONE, depends on how Im feeling if/when I get a call on them. I have loved them so much and THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for blessing me with them, but I think just hens going thru the first winter will be enough to handle. If I keep one it will of course be Opa, the first to crow! and my favorite. He will go in a separate stall in the kennel, where I am presently keeping the 2 new Brahmas.
I will then have 2 BR, 2 RIR, 2 Brahmas and 1 JG in a stall about 8x16'. The 3 Chante's in a stall 4x12-ish. Is this good chicken math. ??
