Awwwww....and those LOVELY maran eggs are beautiful as well as the chickies. Good mama. I would like blue wheaten ameraucana's and marans and....well...I could go on for ever as I know we all love em in all shapes and sizes and colors! However....I will stick with just two breeds....for now!
Have a nice day Michiganders! Two days of rain up here and we are thrilled! Now....ready to get rid of the humidity!
Oh...not to start anything but I believe my U of M team is beating the Western Michigan team today....

it is POURING here, all the chickens hiding under over-turned swimming pools except the Jersey Giant who's running around the yard. Everytime a blast of thunder goes off she jumps sky high. Funny to watch.

I think my chickens are on vacation...
Did not see them in the yard as usual. Went and looked in the coop...there they were sitting on the roosting shelf.

At 11:30! They finally came out just before noon.

LOL she threw them out of the nesting box. :: sigh :: so they are now happily back in the brooder. We opened up the coop this morning and all the girls are in a tizzy because #1 and #2 favorite nesting boxes are now gone.

boy it's kinda warm out there! Mom2emall....you could do something about that empty rabbit hutch...I've got a little boy English lop who needs a good pet home.

Anyone ever use an ankle-leash deal with thier birds? I have an Oshamo roo who is outgrowing his chicken tractor...he's almost too tall for the 2ft tall tractor! I thought about setting him up with an igloo and an ankle-leash. Any ideas on that?
