Drag a friend along or your hubby to help.......that's what I'm planning on doing. Will have anywhere between 2-4 kids depends on who wants to tag along. 2 are mine.

Yes, I will also miss fowl fest this year as I am traveling visiting family too. I miss my animals terribly but I've had a fun time down here in Mississippi.
My neighbors and frineds are so great and I think they are having a great time with the baby chicks.
I am not sure who posted the picture but there is a "worst chicken molt picture contest" going on right now. They definately need to post that picture there.
Hey fellow Michiganders! I was wondering if anyone else has this odd ..uh...problem. I have 6 week old Barred Plymouth Rocks and whe I go to sit in thier coop they roost all over me,even on top of my shoulders and head..
....I don'tmind and kinda think it's adorable but is it normal for them to be so attached (no pun intended) It is my first time raising the lttle buggers and was wondering. I'll post sumpics of it when I get home!
I'm going to Fowl Fest with my family......I'll be the one wearing the chicken hat!! lol
You have a chicken hat too? Sweet. I saw some online and thought "I can do that" so I whipped up three of them. Took awhile to figure out how to make the combs and beak so they looked good and not stoopud. They look alright and Im glad I did them. One for grand-daughter when we go out to chickenstuff together.

I'm only joking, thought I'd be funny.
Don't know how I'm going to meet anyone from on here except to start talking I guess. I'm sure I will meet alot interesting people and see alot of fowl/poultry. This will be my first time at an event like this and I'm really looking forward to it. And.....if I did have a chicken hat I would wear it just to embarrass my kids!! lol

Yup......I think it happens to everyone who owns chickens, it's normal. They know you and that you have treats. Mine are 25 wks. old now & come flocking at 100 mph speeds from out of no where when they see me.
