You just need to get to know him and he will loosen up a bit. I got several of my birds from him. He is real careful about people and his birds. Never allows anyone in his pens so no one will carry anything into them. He has some beautiful Salmon Favoralles. And if ever I have a problem I call him and he tries his best to help me out. Nice guy.

This is certainly one of the friendliest and most helpful threads on BYC. I to got tired of the holier-than-thou attitude on some threads, especially the ones who think that only The very best show-quality individuals should be used for breeding, and then only by experts (meaning themselves

). Where do they think landrace birds came from? My little flock of layers may be a genetic dead end, but they have a lot of value to me, SQ or not.

OK, if I'm lucky enough to get a rooster and a hen out of the batch, but I don't think they'll be laying till summer at earliest.

How many eggs are you hatching now?

Theron-This will probably mean more to your dad. We had a couple Pygmy goats for awhile. I wanted them, so my DW got to name them. Since she is a huge NCIS fan they were named Gibbs and Macy.

Nova- If we're all talking about the same guy in Muskegon, he posts ads on Craigslist when he has new hatches. I got about six chicks from him. I thought he was really nice. He seemed quiet and reserved. Seemed to be very good with Bio-Security. Changed his footwear before going from the chick shed to the big girl pens. Pens were clean and birds looked really good.
