So, this has been a week of a lot of firsts:

I didn't think it was possible, but this has been a week of firsts. ALL of the bantams I bought at chickenstock laid their first egg this week:

mille fleur
serama
white silkie
golden sebright

PLUS the aracauna laid her first blue egg. All this week!!! It was like christmas (and one day it was!! lol) going out there and seeing who else laid an egg for the first time. Not sure if it was the warm weather or our concoction that has increased the egg production out there for both ducks and chickens. We turned away a lot of regular customers because no one was laying. I should have gotten their phone numbers grrr.

Last year it was at Delta Mills Park pavillion Lansing.
I think I remember hearing that it will be at the same place this year.
We should know pretty soon when reservations are made.

The date is up to CHICKMATE, so we all have to be really nice to her! I am hoping it is before the 20th of June so that I can attend!

Just candled the eggs. 7 are still living. It would be SO cool if just one hatched early so I could have a new year baby!!!
