You can pick them up at most home improvement stores. Theoretically you could just the math yourself, but the meter is certainly easier.
The chickies are not in it yet... I still need to put cardboard on the sides. BUT, here it is. LOL. This just cracks me up. I am goiing to run a 4ft dowel down the center so they can learn to roost. I wouldn't have bothered with the wire, but I figured cardboard would be too darn tempting for the dogs on its own. LOL I am going to duct tape around the lid, because ITS PICKY! Lots of pokey wire ends.

fuzzybutt love, you shouldn't worry to much if the water freezes this time of year they will eat snow. If you change it once a day they will most likely do OK, ...notice the 'delivery charge" on our bill a few years back. Go figure? but $200. is a lot of deliveryNice! How much and where??! My rubber dish is great, but i have to travel to get to my girls and i always worry that the water will freeze in the afternoon if it gets much colder...![]()
I hate not having a "real" house. We waited too long to try to buy, always renting. Now that the economy has nosedived it is nearly impossible to get a loan.we even saw a house for only $10,000, but with no credit.... it is so frustrating.
I am very thankful for being allowed to keep my birds there, but it would be nice to be able to know exactly what i need to pay if i need to plug something in. It's not that i'm not grateful, but at $50 and up a month the eggs would be getting kinda expensive! (I only have 4 laying hens) I mostly do it because i like to know what's in my food, and you don't always get that in the store. Each family member who has rented that trailer is shocked at the electric bill, even when we do not use any. There's something going on with the electric on that road. The neighbors just down the road who's house burned down got a $200 electric bill, even though the firemen disconnected the box the day the house burnt! and "consumers" still argued with them! I think they called it a delivery charge.??!
I am really tempted to move Skeeter to the dog coop with Leila, but I do not know if that is a good idea... They are due a week apart... Will it cause fighting? I am almost thinking it might be better for her if she were inside the garage... Opinions please?

Consumer's are just plain old crooks. My elec. bill is $612.00 this month. It NEVER gets under $400.00. My house is just a ranch style home hubby built in 1975 and insulated to the max. And it is only him and I that live here !!!!
