Hi Michiganders!

We left last Wed. for sunny Florida...once we got an hour south or so of Fife Lake...we saw NO more snow!! We could not believe that we had snow while the rest of the state was snow free!
Anyway....it is nice to be here visiting dad (age 98), daughter and friends. I hope you all have a blessed day...just wanted to pop in and say "hi". I will be calling my "chicken caretaker" today!

Good Morning!

Where is everyone?
My husband said-
"i didnt get coffee. I have to go get some when I wake up."
Well, he isnt up yet------but, I had some of the Starbucks Blonde left over for days like this, in the freezer. Forgot about it until a few minutes ago. Sitting here with my first cup, and he is lying in bed thinking he has to go to the store.

Maybe I will drink it all before he gets up.

Nova- glad you are home safe.

Stunt my growth?
Oh thank goodness.. Im plenty wide enough, no need to get any wider............

SAM WHERE ARE YOU?

FIFE!
Make sure you don't brag too much about how nice and warm you are now, while we sit here shivering...
Glad you made it to Florida safely.

SAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where are you?

Big white fluffy snowflakes are falling. My DD woke up with terrible stuffy nose, coughing...No church for me today. So I poured a cup of coffee. It was love at first smell.

good morning all, been up for a long time as most of you chicken people. Had to do some baking for a fundraiser at church. Now I need to go deliver it ........sowing out AGAIN, very pretty, glad I don't have to work on Sunday's. .... My chicks HATE the snow, come just to the edge under the coop and covered run to beck at alfalfa grass I threw down.
I know Sam isn't out getting coffee, said he bought it yesterday..

Hey everybody!
This new format is weirding me out! Theron shot me an email the other day and said someone was wondering where I had been. Just wanted to let you guys know I'm still alive and kicking. After much debate, I've decided to get out of the poultry hobby. I love my birds but it's time for me to focus on me and I need to stop over-extending myself. I have way too much to take care of and it's stopped being fun and just become a burden. Things in my life are changing and it's time I lighten my load. With that said, I have a lovely breeding quad of Muscovy ducks for sale. The chocolate drake is very friendly and sweet, there is a lilac hen, blue hen, and black hen. They are used to free ranging and have their wings clipped right now. I also have their duck house available for sale. I also have 4 Isa brown hens that were hatched in March of last year. They are great layers and all very friendly and easily handled. They are just getting over their molt. I also have 1 silkie hen who is currently broody she was from last year's hatch as well. She is very sweet and gentle and easily handled. Pictures of all but the silkie hen are on my pages. I don't have any prices in mind and will consider all offers. I'm also willing to drive to meet any of my fellow bycers.

I've been up for hours. We're already on the 2nd pot of coffee. Went yesterday and restocked and fortunately it was on sale. It's pitiful when almost $9 for a 27 oz can is considered a good deal.

Just returned from taking Granny to church. I have a procedure we follow that makes it a little easier and much safer to get her in and out of the truck. Each time we go somewhere I repeat the instructions to her. One step is that she make no move until I am standing at the passenger side door. Even with my bracing the door and helping her maintain her balance her feet still slip on the ice. Had we not followed procedure she would have fallen for sure. Of course I am thankful she didn't fall but I am also glad that she slipped as it was a good reminder for her to not get overconfident and try to jump out on her own.

Much to do this week in preparation for heading to southwest Kentucky on Sunday. I can think of at least several hundred other things I would rather do but going to see my brother and finally getting Granny's house taken care of must be done. I am sure that there will be at least 2 to 300 posts for me to read through upon my return.
