SO CUTE! I wish my chicks were as friendly. I think it must have something to do with being broody hatched over incubator hatched... Their mamas tell them to RUN! Unless I come bearing peas and grapes...
I don't know if being broody hatched means they will not become friendly. I think the Uggos I got from M2M were broody hatched and they are now getting to be more friendly. They are still wary of the big girls and quickly scoot out of the way, but they have been watching me handle the big birds and are curious. Of course bribing them with mealworms helps a lot. I'll exclude the big hens so I can get more time alone with the Uggos. At ~9 weeks, they are too young for groping, but they are eating from my hand. I just have to keep working with them.
Maybe I just have a way with "taming" critters.
