Taprock, how is your neighbor,Peg doing? hope she is improving.

Peg is still in critical condition down in GR, although I haven't heard anything more specific. Their son in law took all their animals home with him to care for and most of the family is down state.


muttsfan - where do you find all those unique breeds to incubate? I can't seem to find the plain old Polish I want. You must have good egg connections. No intervention here, just feeling a bit envious!

I'm glad everyone survived the snow and driving in it. We finally have a bit of snow coming down now.
Tonight we went to Bliss and did square dancing!

My son loved it! He was nervous about learning the calls but did great. For the middle of nowhere we had a 9 piece band and more than 32 people dancing, not including spectators. It's a monthly event and great exercise.

Farmerboy - wouldn't your chicks be ok even if the others are sick? Or is there no way to keep them from getting contaminated?

The concert at the Filmore was spectacular! We had a blast! I am defineatly feeling it today though we were on the floor up front... I know I dislocated my thumb at one point and was [ ] this close to getting into a fight with some stupid girl. (she hit my husband in the head twice when he tried to help her up, and to keep her from pushing our friend down. She was trying to force her way up front really rudely)... I grabbed her and was gonna give her the what for, but my DH guided her toward the security guy at the front...man was I ******. But other than that....... it was one of the best show's!

Kinda disappointed in the lack of snow!!

I generally try to be nice... and don't like fighting at all... but when I see my mate getting hit by a stranger.............well that got my knickers in a bunch!

When I was married, I whooped this girls behind, she called me the b-word and the w-word. I got arrested. When the judge asked me why I hit her, I told him what she said, and that since I had married my highschool sweetheart, I was hardly a w.... But when she called me a b.... I lost it and introduced her mouth to Miss Right Fist. My hubby stood there laughing his butt off. Her boyfriend stood their laughing even harder...

A year after my divorce, iwas pretty for my first born, and a different girl did the same thing. I was laughing, because the situation was absurd. But then she threatened to sic her boyfriend on me, so, I popped her one. Her boyfriend said he was staying out of it after that. He liked to hit women, but, I am not a back down from a jerk kinda girl and he knew it.

I was young and dumb. I wouldn't start it, but I would finish it. Now I am getting cranky in my joints. My hands swell, my feet swell... My back constantly hurts... I think now I just might lay down and say uncle. Lol

Well I've been camped out in the coop since a little after 6pm. Just came in at almost 3am. Actually stayed pretty warm except for my toes. The neighbor boy that does a lot of trapping came down and helped hubby set up two more traps. We now have 3 different kids out, so hope we catch something. He seems to think a mink is doing all the damage. I'm hoping to warm back up and go back out again. I purchased a battery operated light and left it down there on. If will be just my luck that he will sneak back into the pen while I am in warming up.

Made my way through that weather this am. Took the boys with me to pick up a new dog and a chocolate muscokie drake. He is a gorgeous boy, and I am so pleased to add him to my breeding program. I am still looking for a blue drake if anyone know of one. I'd like him to be solid, or mostly solid. The dog is doing well, but after her owners left she became very timid. She was loving all over me on the drive home, but once we got her she went timid again. Hopefully she will settle down in a few days. This will be a whole new experience for her, going from family dog to livestock guardian dog. Hopefully she will be much happier out with the animals and Kimber. Kimber will be going to the vet in the am. She had a small laceration in the pad of her foot last week. She limped for one day, and then slowly got better everyday until two days ago. Now it is swollen up and she cannot walk on it at all. Poor girl is still trying to do her laps three legged, but she is in so much pain.

Needless to say life is a little busy around here.
