Good morning Rawkibb, don't think I have said WELCOME to you,

Love the MI sight...

Sam! My husband wanted to go to Cabelas after we met up with Ferret but my belly couldnt handle it. I told him you were there,,,said I would love to go..my daughter wanted to go too..but sadly, the drive to Brighton plus the traffic jam and then back did me in.
Another time. The two of you can meet and talk turkey and deer and fishing and critters.

RaZ is never going to catch up. Where is he? I just decided that he may be one of my stepdaughters neighbors. They moved to Garden City....

I wasn't ready for 81 degrees today, two weeks ago is when we were buried under all the snow! I'm loving it but my body has not adjusted because I am not drinking enough water for this heat!

M2M - glad your doing better - you look like they beat you up!

It was hot and I had had a heating pad on my stomach! haha..I wont complain, for fear that the snow will come back and kill the new leaf growth...

M2M - I sure would do that if they were in a pen alone. Right now they are in with several other bantums. As soon as I get them in their own pen and know the chicks will be from that rooster I will get you some. They are so sweet. One rides on my shoulder all the time and if you go in the pen and don't pick her up she will run in front of you and stand looking at you. I know a guy in Ohio who sells them and I am going to try and meet him next Saturday and see about getting a couple more pullets.

yay! They are so small, like having doves in your yard. RaZ could even hide them from the city and his neighbor...

Mom2, thanks for meeting us halfway today. The uggo roos rode home just fine and are settling in at my friend's place. Mark says thanks again for the roos, he really likes the naked necks.
Hope you can spend time resting and recovering and staying out of traffic jams now.

Thank you thank you thank you!!! It was so quiet this morning..I really appreciate him taking the Uggos..and you meeting us..Traffic circles..the craziest things ever..if they were here, we would be in accidents all the time..and My daughter saw someone in a drivers training car...hahahaa..not us, we couldnt handle it..

Nobody? Forecast says 80's the next 3 days - crazy! There goes getting anything done inside this week! Enjoy the nice weather everyone.

see above answer, lol...

For you prayer warriors out there. My husband has a friend that turned 91 yesterday. He rang my husband's cell this morning and I happened to be up. I usually don't answer his phone but I saw it was him. He was really upset and wanted my husband to rush him to the hospital (he doesn't live far from us). He's not been feeling well this week so if you can, just keep him in your prayers. His name is Earl.

Sending prayers, and adding my husbands nephew as well..He was in a bad accident while in Texas, hit a tree and is in ICU out there. He is 27. His wife just flew out there to be with him. His name is Ben.

Accidentally let slip to DH today: "since I'm getting 50 chicks I'll probably need to use the rabbit hutch pen" and he said "WHAT? 50?!!" Then he started laughing and called me a nut. I didn't even have to explain chicken math to him. I wasn't really worried about his reaction but I'm not sure if I should appreciate being laughed at or not?

2 Weeks till the first batch arrives!

This reminded me of something. I don't have to worry about chicken math. My husband NEVER notices anything. babigyrl22 brought me 2 HUGE roosters yesterday and I just put them in with my bantams until I could put them in their own pen and mind you, he walks by that pen SEVERAL times a day and when he got home yesterday evening I said to him," Did you see the 2 new roosters?". His reply was "NO, where are they?". I said OMG, you walk by that pen how many times a day and you didn't even notice 2 huge roosters with them little bity bantams? He replied no, I didn't see them.

PLUS - when I went to TSC the other day I came home with 6 ity bity d'Uccles and they are in a tub in our spare bathroom. I said to him yesterday morning, he was going in there, will you check to see how the chicks are doing? He come back out and looked at me and said the chicks are fine. I swear he doesn't notice anything around here LOL.

When i redo the walls i want them to be washable too. mabie linoleum also, at least part way up? Something washable cause they get things in odd places!
You could try vinly wall boards. They are large panel size and can be easily cut. I have one down as a drop board in my camper coop.

I guess sometimes that's a good thing.
How is Dash? It seems so strange to let the chickens out in the morning and not have him dash out of the pop door. Instead Soloman, the head roo comes out slowly and looks around before he lets the girls out.

HH - That seems to be the way it ALWAYS goes.

My youngest son helped because he said he would rather not be around the 2 and 3 year old since "they leak" and my DIL helped even though she had a bad headache. My own sister could not help at all

Yet she always 'worries about me because I do too much'
