.I keep thinking the best way to roof it would be the corigated (Sp?) roofing plastic. (the kind that comes in sheets) because if I got white or green it would let light in, but I'm worried about if it can hold up to snow in the winter and if it tends to crack and leak? Anyone have any experience with this stuff?
My patio has the translucent corrugated panels as a roof. The roof is 12' x 24' with rafters 24 inches on centre. It has made it through 11 or 12 years since I built it.
I'm going to replace the panels this year because some of them were damaged by falling branches. I'll go with the translucent again even though it is a bit more expensive, I like the light transmission.

Since today has been declared to be "whine less Wednesday" I will tell myself that mowing my lawn in March is a good thing.

Wow! You have mowed twice already??? Up here in N. Michigan we havent mowed once yet, but it's getting close. Can't wait to smell that fresh cut grass!
Yep, I mowed mine on the 21st and 26th. I even mowed my Mom's on the 23rd. This is the earliest that I can remember mowing.

ETA: I found this link for Growing Degree Day (GDD) tracker. Useful to see how the soil is warming up and what weeds might be sprouting.

DH's job interview went well, they want him back for a tour.

This is one of those times where having a specialized field comes in handy.. they're having a hard time filling the position, so that leaves room to negotiate in DH's favor. Luckily, he's working in another job so we're not in the bad position as other folks are. It just seems like the only way to get ahead is to change jobs.

That's wonderful! I wish him the best!

Thanks.

And I will tell myself that hanging laundry outside is good too.
