How many hens do you need per rooster? I have 2 roosters and 7 hens!!
Around one rooster for ten hens is what I have read/heard
Yeah It's difficult lol like calculus!! my coop is waaaaaay too small i started out with like 17 chickens and they started just dropping dead!! so now i let them out and the 9 that are left are laying eggs!! So i really need to make a HUGE coop before winter :(
Four square foot of floor space for the standard size chicken.

I went to the small animal swap in Newaygo this morning and in less than an hour I was able to re home my Black Austrolorp roo and one of his girls. When I got home I found that I had two German New Hampshire chicks hatched and one Delaware chick.

I also handed out some chickenstock flyers.
