No...never heard of this. Can you fill me in? I was just commenting to my husband yesterday that it would be great to be able to find some Amish that do horse wagon repairs or even break horses to drive...I know there are out there but heck if I know how to find them. Never thought about using one for a butcher. There aren't any Amish communities really close to us; but probably about an hour away so might be doable.
If you find an Amish in the area that does train horses (and donkeys) to drive, let me know. I would definitely be interested in that name and number!

Taking a break under the coop roof while outside working today and this deer came along. Knew I was there, and just kept grazing. I was able to walk up much closer after I took this. Later, there was a fox even closer. Needed to scare the fox off , but I think that that fox has a den nearby. Would explain the 3 motherless baby skunks, the doe missing her fawn, and our missing black cat.

Sooo... Does anyone own the name "CHICKENSTOCK" that runs this swingin' shindig? I thought about ordering some shirts... don't know if we could get them in time.
Do not believe anything you read on Natural News. Better yet: don't read Natural News.
That is what I was thinking... I had read 2 other articals on there that seemed fudged. I wasn't pleased with their citing and referances, or for that matter quotes...

I had to make momma get out of the dog kennel in the camper coop, i put my roo in there instead of the rooster shack. It only has old chicken wire for a bottom, and though i haven't had any casualties yet, i keep seeing good sized tracks in the path to my coop. :( Dang momma is happily sitting on a nest again, i have lost more skin by taking the eggs away so they didn't get pooped on by the chicks.

Lucky plucky was not happy roosting near the floor, but he was soooo happy to be in a solid house.
eta that him being the only survivor of the first great coon attack, poor guy is super sensitive to them being around. Won't go far from the camper anymore with them being so close.
