That is insane! I was picturing, well, patches of waist high unmowed area or something. ! People have too much free time. (well someone does, anyway)

No kidding -- ticketable weeds to me would be waist-high over the entire lawn area. That ain't nothin'.

Thinking about the point of the weed thing -- rodents, right? Where are they gonna hide in your "weeds"?

And while it isn't manicured within an inch of its life (talk about a waste of one's time), your lawn looks fine to me.

I guess trees are unlawful as well?

My willow that I got from you and planted is a no no...

"Prohibited species means any tree of the species of poplar (Populus sp.), willow (Salix sp.) and box elder (Acer negundo)."

I don't suppose anyone near Lansing or Jackson is going to have Muskovy ducklings anytime soon?

My boyfriend's uncle has started his own farm. It's a LOT bigger than ours but he also grew up here with Aric's mom when this place had 450+ acres. He wants ducks pretty bad so I'm selling him some of mine that have gotten old and need a good place to retire. I have certain ones I'm keeping of course but I figure they'd love it at Dale's place!

So, I've given myself permission

to get more and this time i want Muskovys. I'm also still looking for another 1 or 2 guinea keets, preferably lavender.

keyt1969 I just saw and ad for some in Webberville, if that's not too far (I'm getting some next year, so I've been keeping an eye out for who sells them)

Best of Luck!

Hahaha... NO NO NO! lol You gotta get them from us. We have about 40+ muscovy ducklings that we need to sell. So, if you are looking for some, we are the place to get them.

I got the chocolate one from you at chickenstock. If you weren't so far away I'd definitely get more from you! Unfortunately both finances and vehicles aren't healthy enough to go that far!

Hello. I am in Michigan. My backyard is on the MI/OH border. We are new to raising chickens. We have 9 birds that were supposed to be girls, but I suspect one them is actually a he:) I have 4 kids, a bearded dragon, 2 buff Orpington, 2 black Australorp, a barred rock, a silver laced Wyandotte, a golden laced Wyandotte and 2 Ameraucana. I am thinking actually EE, in truth and one of them being the s/he.

It sounds like you have a nice flock of chickens! I hope you can keep your rooster. A rooster is such good protection for a flock!
