So-just noticed one of my BR pullets had an egg that was wet on the outside....when I picked her up and looked at her vent all appeared to be fine. When I massaged her under her vent behind her legs a small amt of a milky substance came out of her vent. Her vent looks perfectly normal. She does not smell bad as I would assume vent gleet would be and I assume can't be egg bound because she had just laid an egg.

I just finished up worming my flock since I had a hen die and they all had heterakis gallinerium and coccidia, so they all got safegaurd 2 doses 10 days apart (last dose 8 days ago) and just finished their corrid yesterday. Everyone including this hen is looking healthy and eating and drinking well. We are experiencing our first heat wave of the season 88 degrees and humid today but none of them seem distressed by it. Anyone got any ideas? Should I be worried or not?

If they had cocci then their intestinal tracts are no doubt irritated. I would add a little plain yogurt to their diet for this. Or you can also add some dry milk granules to their feed, or feed a little raw milk if you have it.
