Milky white swollen eye, not eating/drinking

Each day put a little plate with some foods that she likes, also some wet mash and some dry. She will show you what she is willing to eat. It's better if she'll eat on her own.

I offer different things, cooked grains like brown rice, egg, meat, vegies, diced fruit, etc.

She’s getting better! Today she is eating and drinking on her own. She isn’t completely back to her old self, but I’m sure in a few more days she will be.

Swelling in the eye started to go down once I switched to a triple antibiotic ointment from the terramycin. And I’m sure the Baytril is what saved her. Thanks for all the help!!

Oh also, when she had no appetite I offered her various treats, she refused them all but worms... so I went digging for worms yesterday. So happy she’s eating on her own again!

Good morning Hua,

One last note.

Do remember to give probiotics for poultry, for three days, after the course of Baytril is finished.

Antibiotics can save a chickens life, but they also kill the good bacteria in the gut, which are part of the chicken's digestive and immune systems. It is also believed that good bacteria also keeps the bad bacteria in check by competitive exclusion.

So, there you go.

God Bless :)
