Hey all

Hey Erin Yes I got the hint I will put some pix on here from the first breeding of the partridge and my millies soon as I can get ahold of a camera I guess these would be considered F1 They turned out fantastic Got 4 roos and 3 hens There are 2 roos that look like the partridge roo and the other 2 are lighter with not hardly any dark on them at all I guess more of a red The hens are all diluted down partridge And they dont look bad either Not as good as the roos but still very usable for breeding Im not disappointed with the results of that breeding Just hoping the next breeding will turn out as good Keep looking and I may surprise everybody and actually have some pix on here

That's great!! I've only hatched pullets from my partridgey looking hen so I haven't gotten a chance to check out what happens when the female pattern isn't present. I have a couple 2 day olds and some in the bator so, maybe we'll see.

I had a roo year last year. Hopefully 2010 is the year of the pullet

Okay, been lurking a long time for the most part, but figured I ought to jump in sometime! After lots of struggle, I have managed to come up with 4 project birds, all from Lynne's stock. The first bird is 9 months old (shows a small amount of mottling you can't see in photo) and I got lucky last month with a loud colored little cockerel for her. The 2 new babies are 2 weeks old and appear to be a pullet and cockerel from 2 different sires.
What do you guys think? I hope I have something to work with here. Opinions, suggestions?

Yup, chickendad, I would say pullet and cockerel. Cute little boogers... Did you get the pair from eggs? ..lucky. I ordered 18 wheaten rosecomb eggs from AZ and hatched 3 yes, 3!!! cockerels. I ordered another batch and hatch 4... Im thinking it's only one cockerel and 3 pullets... hoping

I feel so bad for the breeder. She tried so very hard to make sure I got some babies. The first box had a clear foot print smashed right on the top

Needless to say, many of the eggs were gonners right outa the shoot.
