eb is the genetic code for that color marker. One of these days when my mind gets rid of most of the crap I don't need to remember, I will try to memorize all the genetic codes for chickens but I still have codes from other species floating around in my head and have to use my genetics calculator to see what it stands for now.

What a BEAUTY! I've got a trio coming from Lynne in a couple of weeks too. I can't wait!!

with 1 started pair of Mille Fleur Cochins (from Josh Singleton), a gorgeous rooster from Bantyman, and a started pair from GA. (Tim Kerbo), coming this week and my trio from Lynne the beginning of Oct. I feel like I'm off to a good start on my MFC project!

I've got LOTS of photos on my blog and in the photos files of the MFC Yahoo Group (link is on my blog)

Yay! Awesome. Mine are due on the 2nd.

I can't wait. I also got 8 lemon blue cochin eggs hatching at the same time.

She very sweetly threw in the MFC eggs for free. Thinking fertility would be bad, but I got 9/13! haha. Yay. Thanks Lynne!

I look at everyones pictures and mope about not having any. I just got to remember I will have my very own very soon.

I've never hatched eggs (except with the help of the hen!) but suspect I willl be doing so with my millies...

I just visited with a friend who has an incubator and is hatching her first clutch of eggs. Only two have hatched (out of a dozen) and she's thinking fertility might be down because of the time of year. Would that have an impact? The eggs she's hatching are not mille fleur cochins. I told her once she gets all the 'kinks' worked out with her incubator I might let her hatch some eggs for me... :)

My girls are around 4 months old now. Will they ley eggs this winter or will I have to wait 'till Spring?
