Sigh....I figured...that's the reason I got rid of that roo.
bummer on the roo in the pics, too...

As for the wings - I think my problem is that it is so warm in the house, compared to outside, that they get sleep and "wilt" (wings first, like a chick) I had trouble getting a lot of them to even stay standing!!




On the hunt for a very typey roo again....anyone out there have a breeding quality roo for sale??

Can't make much progress with 2 pretty nice females and no good roo....
 
As for the eggs - I'm not complaining!

Having only 2 girls, 1 being juvie with first egg today and 1 being in a HARD molt, not much progress being made around here on the MF Cochins!!

Have a couple coming up, but not sure about them either!

here's my baby calico / mille roo, hatched 11/24. unfortunately he was the only one of that color to hatch. the rest were black mottled and silver laced.
