Well I was going to post some pictures that I took today of the new pair of Mille Fleur cochin youngsters growing out but my camera cord is missing and I can't upload the photos. Sorry guys I'm looking for it......... but this could take some time considering my 17 month old nephew was just here and things come up misplaced once he gets a hold of them.

Hi All,

I couldn't resist sharing these pictures I took today. These are chicks that hatched in early May. I'm pretty sure it's a hen and a rooster. The second picture is of the other end of the rooster. Some of my chicks have a lot of white like these two, but others are more Mille like this guy who is two weeks older. . He is not a frizzle, the wind was blowing.

I'm pretty sure that this one will be a hen, she is the same age as the first two. I have lots more, but these are the best pictures and a couple of my favorites and I don't know how many of my chicks you want to look at. I usually have a backyard full of colorful Cochins and crosses but I've never tried to breed for something specific before. I'd love your opinions. I have pictures of their parents and grandparents if that helps.

Looks like they have pretty calico color and the one looks like it will be MF project material. The type is lovely and I adore the shape of the heads.

He's much rounder than this, but he's stretched and panting since it's in the 90's here today.


There is a small black pullet buried under the 2 cockerels. The black cockerel on the right is one I hatched from eggs. The pullet on the left isn't exactly MF, but I like her coloring and I think with a MF or with a BC, I could get nice chicks. Her type is what sold me on her.

The other chick I could get pics of, but she's partridge based. And I hope she's a she.

My MF Remington crows on command. Don't know how or why but if you say Rem crow he crows. What do you all think.

I say I had a Brahma rooster that crowed on command - he thought everyone and thing was a hen XD

Nice. I know what you mean about a camera. I finally ran my other one dead and that was my excuse for a new one. They are quite expensive. It got the job done for 6 years though.
