Here's a couple pics of my calico bantam cochin rooster. I understand there is a breed standard for most things, where do you find that info. I know a lot of times there will be a book put together buy an association, is that what most people use? Anybody want to critique this guy for me? Be gentle, I'm new but I love them. The hen in the top pic is Pebbles, she is so sweet, she walks right into my hand, comes when I call her, I expect she will live to be a very old pet chicken with me.

Calico's (not a recognized color) is an overly white variation of mille fleur (also not a recognized color ) bantam cochins

the cochins int site listed above has lots of good information on it

Lol! I'm in Southern California so I guess that wouldn't work. I bet it is beautiful there, especially in the fall.

Thanks anyway. I keep hoping little butterball is just a masculine female! I'll look around for a slightly older Mille pullet. That way I know I'm getting a girl. I got so attached to it over the last four weeks.
