Mille Cochin Info

Ok need help have a Mille rooster and hens and also bantam Cochins but only a mottled Roo and a blue hen I would live to have a Mille Cochin how do I do this right do I need a diff color Cochin

You need a buff Columbian cochin for your mottled but that would be the long way to get mille cochin project started. It would take 2 or 3 generations before you would start to get milles. It would be far easier to purchase some started Mille Fleur Cochins from somebody else. Unless you are looking for a long project then I suggest you purchase started birds.
 
I would love to do that but I live in Canada and don't no many people even with mille
IMO, your best bet is find someone driving south for a vacation and get them to pack some eggs in their cooler for the trip back...

include some boiled eggs too, and if asked at the border, just boiled eggs for a snack. for a few hours, a cooler isn't likely to hurt the hatchability of the eggs, as long as they're not buried under the ice...

lets just say I know a friend of a friend who...

And for those of you who know me… STILL no goat babies. I don't know why I was soooo sure they'd be early…. but they are taking their good sweet time.
 
I have a pair or trio of MF for sale but it is pick up only since it is too hot to ship. The pullet is blue based instead of black and the roo looks funky because the other roos in the pen are not happy with each other.
