Martha! I brought the photo up larger and here I am squinting looking at the ***** in the middle... I couldn't understand why you thought ... Oh nevermind

Yes the roo's eyes are too light (love the pic though) but if he's young they may change yet. Many of mine don't get red bay until they're around a year. I can tell when they're chicks; if they have greenish eyes - they'll have correct eye color

I'm glad to hear that about the eye color, I've got some Partridge birds that I'd like to get a red bay color on… maybe they'll change too.

What a bunch of beautiful pictures. I love seeing the chick pictures since I havent had any yet . I have 5 eggs in the incubator now and 4-5 more under a broody so hopefull I will have chicks around the middle of the month.

I am so sick of the darn foxes. They wiped out the majority of my free range flock just before roost last night. Ihad all my extras free ranging so I lost Roscoe, Peanut Butter, my only lavender orpington roo who I've had exactly one week, and a variety of hens all layers. I'm glad I got Rem and hthe ones I was selling gone Thursday. They were free ranging as well. But on a sad note- Peanut Butter and Roscoe are gone!!!
