Mille Cochin Info

Beautiful roo, Equibling.

Here's my little weird pullet. I hatched a brown red/partridgey looking girl from my eggs last Spring and this is what I got from her

If you look closely, you can see multiple black stripes.

OMG! That's fascinating Erin! I'm going to have to take a close look at Solo's feathering. She/he's my e+ chick who looks similar to the one in your photos. It will be VERY interesting to see how that chick feathers out as it matures...

Im hoping she will continue to develop a nice pattern. Never know what to expect with these guys.

eta: I kept her momma because I loved the even distribution of pattern though she looked the least mille of all of my birds. I found out recently that Bantyman (Mike) was using partridge to improve type in his line instead of mottled or buff columbian. I am excited to see what his chicks look like.. *hint hint hint* Mike!!???

I think this brown down is something in the right direction.

I gave her to a friend for her backyard flock... still have a couple more of her eggs in the bator... and, if I get desperate, they don't lock their coop at night

oooo......geerrrll.............I can't believe you gave her away.
She's breathtaking! You and I have been around this pot before looking for a handle before, I don't know if you remember? It's been a long time ago, but we, er actually I think it started out, I was talking about your birds from Lynne and how much I liked them, thinking that you were the breeder. We had a conversation, I sent a lengthy message about the birds to Lynne (thinking it was you)

Talk about a bobble-head. Anyway it all turned out just fine because all we were doing was bragging on Lynne's birds and she got a chance to see a message meant for you that I sent to her.

I'll say again, your birds are stunning.

Oh that was you!!! I thought it was Shylee (sackman) She and I just did a similar message swap that was meant for Nancy, I believe Hahahahahahhaha. I told her I thought this was deja vu... remembering the last time with you. Geez, we're all bobble heads! I think it's because we develop these relationships by chatting so much with one another but never see eachother in person. So, it's easy to confuse one another... that's my excuse and Im sticking to it!
