I would guess two boys as well. The lack of tail poof is the big one but, with the wheaten based boy and his dark wing plumage, that's a definite boy. I also think I see the start of a waddle on your black boy.

9 of 9 chickes hatched in my third hatch of the year! I now have 20 new Mille chicks for generation 1. My three Mille girls are still laying an average of 12 eggs a week. I am holding my breath. I have 6 in my neighbor's hatcher due to pip Sunday and 10 more in his Incubator it hatch on April 4th. I have 24 eggs to put in this coming Sunday. (I was out of town last Sunday and my husband forgot to take them to the neighbor's - he loads the incubator every Sunday) We are taking the chance that the oldest eggs are still good.
If my girls and I keep this up I am soon going to have too many Milles! I should post some pics and sell some chicks or eggs. I have a couple of local BYCers that want some chicks. I need you all to help me pick which chicks to keep and which to part with.

I find it hard to part with any chicks until they are 3-4 months or older so I can see how they turn out. I want to keep the best, of course. So this year I am waiting.

I started with a few whites ones many years ago and now have as many bantam Cochins as all my LF put together! My brooders are always half filled with bantam Cochins. I adore the personalities and temperament of this wonderful breed. I have way too many pets and love them all regardless if they are making enough money to feed themselves. Ha! I still say they are better than owning a bunch of pet dogs....and yes, I love dogs.

Oh, c'mon you guys! I am sticking with my gut here and hope to prove you all wrong!

I have already named her Emily (many of my chickies are named after TV characters with whom they share characteristics). Anyway, she is much more docile than the little roo (having trouble naming him, though have been affectionately calling him Scooter. He's quick!). Once I've got her, she does very little squirming. The little boy is not only a trick to catch, but squirms like crazy!
So, I do appreciate your opinions, but I am still going to hope like crazy you are wrong! I think maybe the pics of Emily didn't do her justice. I was trying to show how differently they were feathering more than anything. She does actually have a little tail fluff. I'll post some more, hopefully better ones again soon.

Ditto---I think you've got it right. I'm voting girl on the black one. She's nearly all feathered in on her body as girls do. The second chick is roo....see how he's barely feathered at all over the back? Boys do that. But he will surely change color as he grows....
