Mind if I ask?

Wish I could commit to a resolution, but I always fail.

My only resolution:
Lose ~10 lbs off my total body weight by no later than mid-May. I can gain weight until then, but it should all come off pretty much at once.

See there's a catch. I'm pregnant and due at the end of April. After that, and after nursing, then I'll worry about all the weight stuff.

1.) Lose 40-50 lbs. Now, I will add that I don't like weight loss being a New Year's Resolution, it just happens to be the best time at this current moment. This fall was very stressful and it was actually a "focus on losing weight after I finish my grad classes". They ended in Dec...hence, my New Year's Resolution. Plus, 2 of my coworkers and I are "competing" to lose weight. Great motivator, but their rule was it had to be after the food fest holidays. Fair enough!

2.) Help DH expand the garden
3.) plant edible and native landscaping in the front yard.
4.) Finish my Master's degree (just have to finish the thesis!

).
5.) Cook from scratch more at home (this includes trying to eat more local produce). DH and I both share this one!
6.) Learn to preserve more foods via cold storage and/or canning.
7.) learn to crochet and make an afghan for next winter. (DH has asked to learn to crochet too.

I just call 'em goals:

1-Get out of debt (or at least pay off 2 CC's and a student loan this year)
2-try to eat more regularly, or at least stop skipping breakfast
3-stop staying up so late (so far, this has been a no go, lol)

Well, why not make a resolution you can keep?

My New Year's resolutions are .....

to have more fun this year, than I did last year!

to hatch more chicks than I did last year!

to learn poultry genetics!

Mine isn't so much a "resolution" but more like goals....

I want to get into shape.
Quit smoking for good.
Be a better mommy.
