He literally died due to blood loss from a torn wattle. He was in a doggy crate for the See No Touch introduction method, which obviously failed him.

Unfortunately bad things happen sometimes. I cried my eyes out over him, & I've never cried over a chicken that much in awhile.

Some losses hurt more than others . Maybe because the bird we lost was a special one, or because their death was tough on us
