Hmm, so should I take it out of the ground? I was wanting it to resemble a muskrat hole(their main prey). This is the trap I’m using:Havahart 0745 One-Door Animal Trap for Chipmunk, Squirrel, Rat, and Weasel, X-Small https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BPAVCG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DoUJAb0W09T4G
not sure, i use a mink box placed along a trail or our chicken coop. and its above ground. but again i don't have muskrats near me where i live (and i never knew i had mink here as well as where well over 2kms from water sources.)
 
After I successfully tame and train a mink I hope to work with other mustiledaes like fishers, short/long tail weasels, pine martens, and otters. I’d love to work with all them and they are incredible animals and I really want to work with them in the future. The mustiledae family is adorable!

Fisher cat(much bigger than mink, and it doesn’t hunt/eat fish or belong to the cat family)
