not sure, i use a mink box placed along a trail or our chicken coop. and its above ground. but again i don't have muskrats near me where i live (and i never knew i had mink here as well as where well over 2kms from water sources.)

After I successfully tame and train a mink I hope to work with other mustiledaes like fishers, short/long tail weasels, pine martens, and otters. I’d love to work with all them and they are incredible animals and I really want to work with them in the future. The mustiledae family is adorable!

Fisher cat(much bigger than mink, and it doesn’t hunt/eat fish or belong to the cat family)

I took the trap out of the hole because water was coming in and it’s starting to get cold so I don’t want the water freezing inside the trap and the trap not working so I just moved it next to the hole along the trail
