our mink season ended on march 1st, caught one this year (first fur animal i ever caught so tanning it right now)

fresh fish works great (caught mine in less then 24 hours with fresh fish guts) also there are special mink/weasel lures you can buy from trapping supply stores.

ice fishing? or is the ice not safe enough to walk on. (i live in canada so most of the winter we fish on the ice)

No ice, but the fish are still down to deep, I might try this weekend but we’re getting snow and rain tomorrow and Thursday so it may freeze over.

what type of fish you guys got there, we really only go for a few in the winter (perch, pike and burbot)

I’m kinda annoyed, I just found what I’m pretty sure are mink tracks under the deck(in the snow) not where my trap is set. I’m clearing the snow off of it now and putting it under the deck(I have 2 mice and a chipmunk as bait)the tracks where made after the snow had fallen, when my trap was completely buried

We have perch, largemouth bass, sunfish, and one MASSIVE catfish
