Minnesota!

Last night we were supposed to get severe storms and it barley sprinkled... today it says 0% chance of rain and guess what its pouring...LOL of course I'm not weatherman but if I'm standing outside and getting soak and wet i think it might be raining...

The ship and trains in Duluth down on Rices Point in Duluth ar always fun to visit. The ship is a very very old one but you can go inside and it is really interesting.
Two harbors also has a lighthouse. I have never toured it. They also have a cool breaker near the lighthouse you can walk out on. But like Ralphy mention the ships on the docks are very cool. One was tied off in Duluth and I went down to see it with the DW.  Shortly after we got there semi tankers started showing up one after another and started lining up. Found out it was fueling up. They make you feel really small. I forget the name of the ship. But it was so large it has to stay in the lakes because it was too big to make it through the locks.

Just past gooseberry a ways is Splitrock Lighthouse. Now that one is a big favorite of mine. Even if it is just to take pictures. But do the tour. The history of the place is fascinating. Hope you didn't know all this so I just bored you.

Kind of jealous of you tonight, though. My folks had a camper and I loved the sound of rain hitting the roof. Especially when I was falling asleep. Had a tornado go by the camper during one trip. I slept right through it. Folks didn't even know about it till the next day. It was at night.

From gooseberry falls we are slowly working our way to grand portage and back hitting almost every state park on the shoreline including split rock. We will have to stop at 2 harbors

Weird No rain here today. We had some last night before I got home from Duluth, but no idea how much. It was enough for me to slip on my butt when locking the birds up.

I am not liking the weather today, it is reminding me of winter. And Yeppers My knee is hurting again.

BTW Guess what old senile guy forgot to lock the door on the turkeys/creamettes after falling on his butt in turkey poop and smelly wasted feed?

KolpKlop when you get to Grand Portage what are your plans? Do not just stop at Grand Portage. go towards the border at least as far as the rest area on the downside of the mountain. It is just a pull off area, but the view of the Susies is amazing from there. It must be a place where you can get a glimpse of heaven based on the number of people that have off'ed themselves there. Don't let that detract you from the beauty though.

Maybe there is a call of the Sirens there.

Another thing to see is Devil's kettle. But watch the dog! Hate to hear it went for a swim in the kettle and was never seen again.

Just getting started on making fresh bagels on the campfire. Bring some eggs and we will make some breakfast sandwiches!

Thanks all for the suggestions. Keep them coming if you have them. Will look up the kettle today.

It stayed calmer down south I hear so hopefully my ladies are doing well today

Hope its OK,,,it seems like my girls have doubled in size since Ive got them so i thought they were eating good, Well this morning i made them white rice (cooked) with milk and raisins and my daughter in law is a huge health food freak so she left a bag of organic Flax seeds and Chia seeds here,,,so i tossed some of those in rice also.. i dumped it in the run and the girls all jumped on it like the were starving... never seen them eat that ferociously before... hope their belly's don't explode...and hope I'm feeding them good on a normal basis..
