Hey all! It's been awhile. How have u all been? Not much has happened here. If anyone's interested I have 3 female Pekin duvk who r showing sign of laying. I also have some pretty roos for sale.
About time you get back here!
And NO, I do not want any stinkin Ducks!
Talked to DNR today. Emailed him the track pictures. He talked with some wildlife folks who told him they think it is coyote not wolf. We chatted. I need more proof it is a wolf. I need pictures on game camera, I need to see it and if there are more prints I need to use a ruler to take pictures.
He said I can set up traps or snares and I am free to shoot at it. I need to tell him if a wolf gets caught in the traps/snares. I told him I will keep him posted on any more goings on here. He told me there has been wolf activity very recently that has taken 4 calves that were a month old just miles from me. *sigh* I know it is part of where I live but to know they are literally right out my door is bothersome.
I told him I sleep with my window open and my weapon is at the ready.Lock and load

Exactly. This is the first play in there book. At least they didn't threaten to throw you in jail or fine you 25 grand if you killed it. They never admit it is a wolf, because then they have to pay you restitution for your losses.
A quarter is just under and inch in diameter. Looking at your pictures I am guessing that print is about 4 1/2 inches long.
Referring back to the picture/sketch I pasted here from the Wisconsin DNR a coyote print is seldom over 2 3/4 inches........
In my book, they lied to you. But heck when doesn't the DNR lie to us?
