The one not in display is the turkey that was attacked earlier this summer by a fox. He has healed nicely. He has been given a pass on camp. He will live here as long as possible. Runty is his name.

Been here, but I locked my self in... have an emergency pull rope now! It was very hot when I locked my self in, thank goodness it was just after dark so I didn't die. took DH over an hour to realize and come let me out. There is a thread on people who have locked themselves in, it is quite commical, i'm in it

That is a good idea! We have a photo of a few of them on there but i like the idea of sharing their story. Might be a good thing to post on our new Facebook page too

Bogtown, I hope everyting works out good for you and your boy. I hate parents who don't parent. I was always the "strict" parent myself. Some may think two strict...tough. I always hated it when other parents would make me the parent of their kid by default, what I mean by that is "If Justine can go, then you can go" all because they were ball-less and couldn't ever say no to their kids, even if they knew it was a bad idea. No personal reponsibility from the parents, or kids. These "parents" are worthless as tits on a boar. I have no respect for parents like this.
Also, i've never once, ever, counted to three with my kid. If I have to tell you twice...well, that never happened. Sadly, I live close enough to hear my neighbors (4 acres isn't far enough) "you better do this or xxx, 1, 2, 2 and a 1/4, 2 and a 1/2, 2 and 3/4... I want to run over there and hit the parent over the head. quit threatening and do it. Don't threaten anything you are not going to follow through with, pussy.
One time my daughter, she was 3 at the time (I may have told this before) anyways, we were in the Pamida in elk river when it was there. she was acting up, hiding under the clothes racks, screaming, being a terror. I grabbed her up, left my cart, took her to the parking lot. once there I turned around and we looked at the front of the store and I said "Justine, you see that store right there? we will NEVER go in that store again." and we left. Everytime we drove by that store for years she would say, "there's that store I can't go into." Me, "Why can't you go in there?" Her "because I was naughty". from then on, if she started to act up in a store "Justine? Do you like this store? Would you like to come back to this store?" worked every time. wuuaahahhhaha
No excuse for poor, lazy, no personal responsibility parenting.

That looks awesome! Can my family and I come and live with you? DH can mow the lawn, I'll sit on your amazing deck and drink beer all day, and my offspring can pet the chickens all day. Think about it and let me know.

Alrighty....here we go...no judging...

1. If I could binge on Netflix for an entire day I'd watch this show: The Walking Dead....which I have been binge watching on Netflix lately. **** zombies.
2. One place in the world from which I want to send a postcard: New Zealand. How cool would that be?
3. You could chase me to Russia with this food: Liverwurst. I'd rather starve to death than eat it.
4. The daily chore which I dread: Washing dishes. We have a dishwasher, but always wash them by hand. Not....sure....why.
5. Fastest I've ever driven a motorized vehicle: 107mph (hit the governor chip, so this is a for sure fact).
6. Tried my first alcoholic beverage at this age and thought adults were nuts to drink it: 15 and it was a fuzzy navel. It's probably why I only drink beer, whiskey, and Vodka as an adult.
7. First person I ever had a crush on, can be real or celebrity: Oh man, so embarrassing. I was a fan of New Kids on the Block when I was 7 and loved Joey. Don't tell anyone.

Two questions: what is Taco La Lengua? And why Norway?

I had somebody order me tacos in Mexico once and I got cow tongue tacos on my plate with the taste buds and all. Totally gross looking not sure if I liked the taste or not. Like Ralphie having a hard time with pumps I had a hard time with cow taste buds.
Norway because it's mine and hubby's heritage. I think they are a nice people. Green mountains fjords for scenery.
