For winter we have a stream that doesn't freeze and thats how they will have to get water. Otherwise if they have to stay inside the coop stays warm enough where it doesn't freeze.

We had egg competition at the market this morning so we were out there longer than usual. Time to go camping. There is no reception at whitewater in the bluffs so I will see you all tomorrow!

Well if all goes as planned I should have a new black Cochin hen from a breeder by Mankato. Right now I can only get 1-2 but hope to get more. Heidi is going to pick it up for me on her way to Iowa.

I know you sell chickens at times. But do you ever hatch them to sell them? Do you sell eggs too? Seems like a perfect way for someone like yourself to earn a few extra bucks.
