Minnesota!

Don't stop the antibiotics. If you stop use before the it has time to do it's job, the infection will come back worse than it was before and it will be harder to fight as well. You have to keep giving them for a while after the effects of the infection are gone to make sure the infection is completely wiped out. Towards the end of use only the strongest of the bacteria has survived. That is why it comes back so much worse.
I gave her the last of them this morning, there is no more.. so fingers xx`ed hope it was enough...

coffee, you could call the you and see if rob will look at the chicken - if it is something for which there is no hope, you could leave her, but if he thinks it is treatable, you could take her home? just a thought.

I think I would have culled her because I do think this isn't the last of it, but if you want to keep her going, I agree that blanch that the few days of antibiotics are probably not enough. Thats why I'm wondering if you want to go ahead and haul her in. Not sure if the path lab will see her, but they also have a vet clinic there but Rob could tell you that.

Am just thinking she will go downhill again soon. sorry to be pessimistic.

Those are my alpacas & Coffee's grand kids. It was so nice to have them over today. I love the chance to help educate children on animal care & training. They were great! Coffee's GD has quite the information bank, it helps to be able to apply what she has learned. As a past scout leader & Sunday school teacher, I like presenting kids with something new. You never know what will grow from the seeds you plant today.

I'm so thankful for the strange twists & turns that life has taken, only to find special people at the end! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Blanch you are welcome to come on up. I'm 10 miles closer then Ralphie.
Were you knitting at the Nowthen farm market a couple of years ago? There was a lady there that I talked to that had alpacas in the area and knitted from their wool...

Lala, I feel so bad for that lady you know. terrible.

Coffee, I hope you can get her in. If not, you could talk to All pets in Zimmerman. I sure hope she pulls through. We do get so attached to the less than healthy ones. I was very attached to my Baby before she passed. She was the most curious, she would jump up on my back when I was bent over cleaning the coop. she came right up to my face and looked at my glasses one day ( I usually wear contacts) she was so curious, then pecked the lens, she just wanted to see what it was. she talked all the time and followed me around. The day she stood up to cluck-cluck I was so proud of her for not letting cluck-cluck pick on her anymore. So I know how you feel with this girl. good luck!

Lala I know how you feel. My grandma died in 2013 and the holidays are horrible. Even though it is no fun without her she was suffering so bad from cancer that she couldnt even move or talk. And knowing that it makes it 10 times easier.

Standing in line at Menards.. I must really hate myself.
@lalaland

It just seems cruel to me to lose a home this way. You'd think the bank could work with her to keep her home.
Silly me, I forgot, human beings versus $, $ will win.

I hope she finds a new and happy home.
