Does anyone on this thread grow houseplant? I have a nice collection and I am about ready to trim back and propagate some of them. I have lots of clones of the same plants so I am wondering if anyone is interested in trading cuttings/propogations? I have Spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) A petite Philodendron, Asparagus Fern, Dracaenca, and Schefflera
Interested in adding new plants to add to my collection and would gladly get my cuttings rooted and into dirt for you if you are interested in trading something.
I love my houseplants and my house is turning into a jungle! I don't live that far from you either... However the same plants you have are dominant here too. Every time I get something new I do fine for a while and manage to kill anything really exotic. My hibiscus tree just bloomed for me last week and now all the leaves turned yellow and fell off. I have managed to keep my 2 orchids alive somehow and they are blooming right now. I just killed off a new variety of a wandering jew... My succulents looked amazing when I could bring them outside all summer. Not enough south windows to keep them happy and killed some of them too. My brother brought me some really cool varieties of cactus back from his trip to New Mexico this spring. My aunt gave me a huge Boston fern that drops leaves everywhere. Most of my spider, pothos, and philodendrons have come from many cuttings and I have them hanging everywhere. If you ever get to Redwood Falls, I highly recommend a place called Blossom Town. Amazing variety of both indoor and outdoor plants all year long. Right across town is also my cousin's nursery (Buckleys) if you want the bigger trees and shrubs.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!! I work at a casino though and have to go in for a 10-12 hour shift today. We celebrated our Christmas on Wednesday night already.... I was so excited to wake up today. Incubator is chirping away and a whole tray of mainly silkie chicks (couple faverolles too) fresh out of the shell. My kid got shipped off with relatives, dogs got smoked hock bones, horses got a few extra apple treats, and all the birds are content as can be.
