Minnesota!

Good morning Klop Klop, and everyone!
The sun is shining and that makes me and and chickens happy.
My saddles finally arrived and the hens are in full spring fashion.

A red wing blackbird is at our feeder right now, and you are so right, their songs are lovely.

My flock was all ready to head out to feed then saw the neighbor's dog running outside with the neighbor's son. They turned around and marched back to the coop with the roosters in full alarm mode. They've never done that before.

Hope everyone has a great day. It's my wonderful mother's 81st birthday. Celebration is in order!
Again, it is a tragedy the hens died, but at least the rest of the flock has learned from it!

Holms, love the calf pics. that ear tag is practically bigger than her ear!

I spent 8 hours on chikens today. mostly cleaning the coop out, and am I ever exhausted and sore. Also clipped some toenails, did some spot checks for mites and lice (none) and set up two broody quarters. One took to the move easily, the other spent a couple of hours screaming and running around, and ended up on the roost tonight.

klp[klp[. it is soo cool that you are going to grind your own!
