Minnesota!

I am so sick to death of this snow crap!! I was so happy to see some green shoots of grass try and peak through the brown grass. The ducks are mad as I wont let them outside today due to the wind and I have baby chicks and ducklings in the barn. I have also kept all the chickens in thier own coops to help cut down on the drafts inside the barn too. Not looking forward walking in the snow and wind to do chores. UGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:he

Cleaning brooders and wheeling out poop and cleaning brooder tubs was NOT fun today! The ducks didn't seem to put out, meaning the big ones who are outside 24-7. The Pekins are happy as can be to have all the mud out there to dig in again. I just wish I had 2 ducks and a drake like I thought I had last fall, instead of 2 drakes and a duck. I really believe that second drake had a sex change! I swear it was quacking and making a raucous last fall when I downsized for winter.

I am SO ready for real Spring weather I could spit nails!

I had something very disturbing happen today. I have had an egg eater in my lavender orp pen in the past. It hasn't been an issue lately. But I had a call hen sitting on 8 or so eggs and today one (or more) of the chickens had eaten all but 2 eggs! She had been on that nest for like 5 days. Poor girl.

Triplell - I could trade you my call eggs, bid on your Ebay listing or buy some outright.

Right now I am not in the market for anymore ducks. I am over flowing at the moment. You can either bid or I can close the auction and do the same price outright. Either way is fine my me. The shipping is $15.00 flat fee.

Has anyone found Sweet PDZ in the powder form in MN?

We're new to chickens and are finding this site to be a great learning tool!
